    y = 2x + 7…..the slope is 2 and the y int is 7

    y = 1/2x + 7…the slope is 1/2 and the y int is 7

    the only difference is the slope. And if the original equation has a slope of 2, and it is changed to a slope of 1/2, then it will have a less steep slope. So the slope will not be as steep, but the y intercepts will be the same.
