    If the function is being shifted right 3 units (this effects the x part in general)

    So

    g(x)=(x-3)+5

    g(x)=x-3+5

    g(x)=x+2

    So if it was shifted left 3 units I would have said g(x)=(x+3)+5=x+3+5=x+8 but is didn’t.

    Test let’s look at order pair (6,11) on f(x)=x+5

    This point shifted 3 units right is (9,11) so hopefully are function g(x)=x+2 says that when we plug in 9…we do get 11 since 9+2 is 11.
